Sony Warranty Information

Is your Sony product is faulty?

When your Sony product needs repair, your first step is to check it’s still  under the manufacturer’s warranty. The second step is to check if the warranty covers the fault.

Sony warranties typically last for a year; this includes warranties for Sony home entertainment systems and cameras. Certain products like projectors only come with limited warranties.

In order to qualify for free repairs, you need to still have your original receipt of purchase.

Before making your claim, you should also do a few checks at home and contact Sony over the telephone to ensure it’s not something that you can fix yourself.

First check your Sony product manual or visit their online tips and support section which allows you to check your specific product against a list of common problems.

Always remember to back up any data before arranging for a repair.

If your Sony warranty has or is about to lapse, you can rest assured that you can still save on future repair costs with appliance insurance from us.

From only £12.49 a month, you can extend cover for many home appliances with a policy from Surewise.com. What this means is that if you’ve taken out an extended warranty with us, we’ll send someone out to repair your appliance as soon as your claim is approved. If you only want to cover a single appliance, your policy will cost £6.58 per month.

To qualify for our policies, appliances should be under 8 years old at the start of your cover and not have any pre-existing faults.
